Q. What happens if one of my carts gets stolen or broken?
A. Call us right away so we can replace it immediately.

Q. How can I save money on my service?
A. Is your garbage container too big? Or is it too small so you often pay for extra garbage on the side? Could you be recycling more? Call and talk to us. We can offer you pointers on how to downsize your garbage service by increasing your recycling, plus ways to avoid unnecessary charges.

Q. What are my payment options?
A. There are several ways to pay your bill:

    1. Visa or MasterCard

    2. Cash

    3. Check

  2. AutoPay (Electronic Funds Transfer)

  3. Online through your own bank

Q. What if I have an item that’s too big for my container?
A. Give us a call (503-649-6727). We pick up bulky items (mattresses, couches, appliances, etc., at our house for a very reasonable fee. We also offer drop boxes for special projects, such as cleaning out your garage, or roof tear-off.

Q. What items will you take at your Recycling Depot in Aloha?
A. We accept cardboard, glass, tin, scrap paper, phone books, magazines, newspaper & plastic jugs.

Q. Do you take garbage on site?
A. No. We are not licensed to take garbage from the public at our facility. We would be happy to pick it up for you.

Q. What should I do if I’m moving?
A. It is the customer’s responsibility to stop service. Please contact our office in advance. We need to stop your service and retrieve our roll carts.

Q. What can I put in my curbside recycling?
A. Please refer to the residential recycling information page.

Q. When is my garbage, recycling, yard debris, or glass picked up?
A. Please refer to the recycling calendar on the residential recycling info page.

Q. How do I dispose of sharps, needles, lancets?
A. Sharps can NOT be placed in your garbage. Oregon State law mandates proper storage and disposal of used sharps. Sharps include needles, lancets, and syringes. Sharps must be stored in approved biohazard containers (milk jugs and coffee cans are not safe or acceptable for sharps storage). A filled sharps container may be returned to our office for proper disposal. A new container can be picked up as well. A fee may apply.

Q. My pick up day falls on a holiday this week; are you changing your schedule due to the holiday?
A. Aloha Garbage drivers work all holidays except Christmas Day. Service will be one day later from the holiday through the end of the week.

Q. I am going on vacation and will not need service while I am gone. Can I get a credit?
A. Please call the office for information.

Q. What time of day is my pick up?
A. Although we try to be as consistent as we can, pick up time may change each week depending on traffic, construction, staffing, or other circumstances. We ask that your materials be curbside for collection by 6:00 am on your pick up day.
